Local budgets of Kherson region received 83.8 million UAH of excise tax on the retail sale of excisable products during January – July 2020. Revenues exceeded the last year’s figure by 8% or 6.5 million UAH of excise tax. This was reported by specialists of Tax monitoring department of Main Directorate of the STS in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city.
The biggest amount of excise tax from sale of alcohol and tobacco products was transferred to local budget by business representatives from Kherson city. This is 46.4 million UAH or 55% of the total tax revenues in region. Excise tax payers of Nova Kakhovka increased the tax deduction from the sale by 1.5 times, their contribution to the local budget amounted 17.8 million UAH. Local budgets of Hornostaivskyi, Vysokopilskyi and Verkhnoragachytskyi districts also received, namely 121 thousand UAH, 110 thousand UAH and 88 thousand UAH from the retail sale of excisable products, respectively.
Kherson communities’ budgets received additional excise tax revenues along with the personal income tax, single tax and property tax due to joint coordination of efforts of regional Tax Service and representatives of local self-governments in the un-shadowing business activities and legalization of labor relations.
