Tax agents transferred more than 5 billion 291.7 million UAH of the personal income tax to the consolidated budget from income of residents working in Vinnytsia region during January – August 2020. This was reported by acting Head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Vinnytsia region Oleh Martyniuk. Tax official emphasized that almost 75% of this amount or almost 3 billion 952.5 million UAH was transferred to the local budget.
If to compare revenues during the same period in 2019, as the acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Vinnytsia region noted, the increase in personal income tax has amounted 5%. And in absolute terms, additional revenues exceeded 252.3 million UAH. Of these, local communities received almost 189 million UAH.
According to Oleh Martyniuk, control over the legalization of labor market remains a priority for the Tax service headed by him. However, it is currently somewhat hampered by the audit moratorium due to COVID-2019.
Personal income tax is the main budget-forming payment. It currently accounts for more than 48.4% of consolidated and almost 66.2% of local budgets.
