Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region reported that budgets of local communities of Chernivtsi region were replenished by 70.6 million UAH of the excise tax on the retail sale of excisable products during January – August 2020. Business entities involved in the retail sale of excisable products paid 11.2 million UAH to budgets of territorial communities in August 2020.
According to Excisable product control department of Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region, local budgets’ revenues from licenses for the retail sale of excisable products amounted more than 10 million UAH during January – August 2020.
In total, currently there are 2103 business entities in Bukovyn, mostly individuals – entrepreneurs who have 4645 licenses for the sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products. 59 licenses have been suspended since the beginning of 2020 due to late payment of the next payment.
“At present, payment of excise tax on the retail sale to local budgets can be directly controlled by heads of territorial communities, as excise tax on the retail sale has a significant impact on increasing revenues to the local budget. In general active civil position of all members of regional territorial communities should help to ensure that representatives of entrepreneurs who sell excisable products do so at the level of high tax culture. Everyone will benefit from this, because the budget will receive appropriate tax revenues from the sale of legal quality products.” – emphasized Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region Vitaly Shpak.
