Taxpayers of Luhansk region transferred 30.7 million UAH of the environmental tax to the consolidated budget during January – August 2020. Specifically, 19.2 million UAH was transferred to the special fund of local budgets and 11.5 million UAH to the state budget.
Main Directorate of the STS in Luhansk region noted that there are 1.4 thousand legal entities and individuals registered as the environmental tax payers at territorial bodies of the STS in Luhansk region during January – August 2020. They emit pollutants into the atmosphere through stationary or mobile sources of pollution, discharge pollutants directly into water bodies, dispose of waste, and so on.
The environmental tax is the main source of financing actions directed on environmental protection, minimization of negative influence on it of economic activity and rational use of natural resources.
