Business of Ternopil region transferred 1 billion 72 million UAH of the value added tax to state treasury during January – September 2020, which exceeded expected revenues by 10.8% Therefore, business entities additionally transferred 104.4 million UAH of this payment. This was reported by Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region Ivan Punko. “Actual revenues have increased by 192.7 million UAH or 21.9% more comparing to the corresponding period in 2019” – stated Ivan Punko.
The average monthly payment of the value added tax during January – September 2020 amounted 119.1 million UAH. This is 21.4 million UAH more than during January – September 2019.
“We notice positive tendency in the value added tax payment in September 2020” – stated of Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region. “130.8 million UAH was expected but actually 197.7 million UAH was paid, ie 66.9% or 51.1%.” The increase comparing to September 2019 has amounted 76.6 million UAH or 63.2%.
Tax official noted that this result was achieved through a constructive dialogue with business, economic recovery of Ternopil region, counteraction against tax evasion schemes, as well as the use of electronic services.
There are 3193 VAT payers registered at the tax authorities of Ternopil region as of the beginning of October 2020, including 2727 legal entities and 466 individuals – entrepreneurs.
