Employers voluntarily registered 6121 employees as a result of explanatory work with heads of enterprises, activity of STS’s working groups, executive bodies and local self-government during 9 months of 2020.
Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Roman Afonov reported that these citizens were officially paid 31 million 400 thousand UAH of income, which is, on average, 5 thousand UAH per employee. Budgets additionally received 13 million UAH, including 5.6 million UAH of the personal income tax, 6.9 million UAH of the single contribution and 500 thousand UAH of the military levy.
During the control measures, the tax authorities found 153 individuals who worked without proper registration. Relevant materials were sent to the State Labor Inspectorate for appropriate measures.
According to results of 135 documentary audits of business entities that had risks of non-payment of taxes and fees when paying income to citizens, the amount of 12.4 million UAH was additionally accrued, including 9.6 million UAH of the personal income tax, 2 million UAH of the single contribution and 800 thousand UAH of the military levy.
Please note that there are ongoing measures in Zaporizhzhia region to counteract economic shadow processes. First of all, the work is carried out in several areas: the un-shadowing of labor market, control over the turnover and taxation of excisable products and cash payments.
Analytical activity and tax audits can identify business entities and entrepreneurs who use unregistered employees, pay wages “in the envelopes” or less than the minimum, illegally sell alcohol beverages, tobacco products and evade taxation.
