Taxpayers of Kherson region transferred 234.8 million UAH of the military levy to the state budget to support the Ukrainian army during 9 months of 2020 with an increase of 16.3 million UAH comparing to the corresponding period in 2019. This was reported by specialists of the Tax administration department of Main Directorate of the STS in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city.
The undisputed leader in terms of revenues from the military levy is contribution of taxpayers from Kherson city, which amounted 114 million UAH or almost half of the total revenues of military levy in the region. Taxpayers of Kakhovka district and Nova Kakhovka paid 17.2 million UAH and 14.2 million UAH to the budget to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, respectively. Another 11 million UAH of the military levy was paid by tax agents and individuals of Bilozerskyi district.
As a result of citizens’ property and income declaration during 2019, Kherson residents independently declared to pay 5.4 million UAH of the military levy.
Reminder! Military levy taxpayers are individuals – residents who receive income both from the source of their origin in Ukraine and foreign income, individuals – non-residents who receive income in Ukraine, as well as tax agents. The tax rate is 1.5% of the taxation object.
