Specialists of the Tax audit department of Main Directorate of the STS in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city as a part of interdepartmental working groups on the legalization of hired labor conducted 516 audit of businessmen on compliance with current labor legislation during 11 months of 2020.
As a result, 2123 business entities were found to be violators of labor relations. Of these: 728 are legal entities and 1395 individuals. 5703 people worked without proper official registration and payment of taxes. The largest number of undocumented workers in Kherson region was recorded in trade and services.
Due to outreach and explanatory work, most employers have legalized employment relationships with their employees. According to current legislation on labor relations, the employer ensures payment of wages not less than the statutory level with the conclusion of employment contract. Then the local tax inspectorates are informed about the hiring of employee.
As of today, the main working principle of all specialists of the regional Tax service is convenient and comfortable conditions for taxpayers to fulfill their obligations to pay taxes and provide practical assistance in doing business in various areas of business – trade, services, trucking, agriculture, etc.
As a result of taken measures, the budget received more than 6.8 million UAH of the personal income tax, almost 7.8 million UAH of the single contribution to compulsory state social insurance and 575 thousand UAH of the military levy.
In addition, 1261 individuals were involved in state registration. Amount of taxes paid by them is more than 3.8 million UAH.
Tax authorities urge citizens not to agree to illegal work. Active counteraction to the “shadow” segment of labor market is one of priority tasks of the Tax service. After all, in addition to budget losses, existence of illegal employees has extremely negative social consequences.
