Representatives of the State Tax Service participated in the II Legal Anti-corruption Forum

Representatives of the State Tax Service took part in the II Legal Anti-corruption Forum, which was organized by the publishing house "Yurydychna Praktyka".
Attention of the forum participants was focused on principles of activities of authorized departments of the State Tax Service, priorities of their work and problematic questions.
It was emphasized that activities of authorized departments are aimed, first of all, at improving integrity of employees, particularly those who have direct contact with the taxpayers.
It was informed that in order to ensure effective corruption prevention in all areas of the Service’s activities, the State Tax Service’s Anti-corruption program has been implemented, which is aimed at supporting the state’s anti-corruption strategy, implementing transparency and integrity mechanisms, reducing corruption risks in the Service’s activities, and increasing level of the public trust.
Measures are being taken to further improve system of preventing and combating corruption in the State Tax Service, ensure coherence and systematicity of the anti-corruption activities of structural units and territorial bodies of the State Tax Service.
Forum participants were informed that the main areas of work of authorized departments are issues of financial control, specifically timeliness of submission of declaration by a person authorized to perform state or local government functions; prevention and resolution of conflicts of interest; ensuring possibility of reporting corruption; compliance with restrictions on the use of official powers or one’s position; prevention of receiving improper benefit or gift and handling them according to the Law; compliance with restrictions on the part-time work and combining with other types of activities; restrictions on joint work of close persons.
