Contacts of the STS on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men

Specially authorized central executive body for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men in Ukraine is the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine according to Paragraph 1 of Regulations on the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 423 as of 17.06.2015 (with changes).

The main tasks of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine specifically are ensuring formation and implementation of the state policy on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men and on preventing and combating domestic violence and gender-based violence.

Part 2 of Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine № 2866-IV as of 08.09.2005 “On ensuring equal rights and opportunities of women and men” (hereinafter – Law № 2866) stipulates that authorized person (coordinator) for ensuring equal rights and opportunities of women and men, preventing and combating gender-based violence is determined in the executive and local self-government bodies.

In order to implement provisions of Parts 2 and 3 of Article 12 of the Law № 2866, by Order of the State Tax Service of Ukraine № 864 as of 22.11.2024, the acting First Deputy Head of the State Tax Service Vladyslav Bugasov was appointed as the authorized person (coordinator) for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, preventing and combating violence on the basis of Article.
