High-quality data and strong analytics are what will really change tax system today. This allows to see real situation, not formal indicators. This was stated by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh during the meeting with representatives of analytical centers and economic experts.
“In practice, this means identifying risks even before the start of audits, separating systemic problems from isolated cases and building work based on facts, not assumptions” – emphasized acting Head of the State Tax Service.
Participants, during the meeting, spoke frankly about what really worries every taxpayer.
Lesya Karnaukh focused on the main tasks that the State Tax Service is actively working on.
One of the priority areas is digital services. State Tax Service is already working on modernizing the taxpayer’s Electronic cabinet, expanding dashboards and analytics by industry. All processes should be as transparent as possible.
The focus is also on the development of services. Tax Consultant Offices are already operating in 20 regions. More than 85 thousand consultations have been provided since their creation.
Tax support for veteran business and grant recipients has been introduced on the basis of the Offices, and the online points of the Offices are being scaled up so that everyone can receive proper consultation regardless of their place of residence.
State Tax Service is also expanding analytical dashboards and is ready to move further – more data, more transparency, more opportunities for qualitative analysis.
Important question is also the “business fragmentation”. Here it is important not just to record the facts, but to form clear rules. So that the story does not become the norm, when large networks hide behind hundreds of individuals-entrepreneurs and minimize tax payments. These are billions of potential losses for the budget.
“State Tax Service sees such schemes. But we do not just record violators, but warn of risks. Constant dialogue is already yielding results. Some of the networks have already abandoned schemes and switched to a common system” – Lesya Karnaukh noted.
They also talked about suspending registration of tax invoices. As Lesya Karnaukh noted, the State Tax Service has already achieved a significant decrease in the number of those who call this the main problem. After all, today registration is 98.87 – 99.9%. Improvement of the monitoring system of tax risks during registration of tax invoices system continues.
“Such meetings are about joint work of the state, analytical environment and business. It is about trust, clear rules and shared responsibility” – underscored acting Head of the State Tax Service.
