Today, Chairman of the STS Serhii Verlanov and Business ombudsman in Ukraine Marchin Svenchitskyi signed “Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation between the STS and Business Ombudsman Council”.
Chairman of the STS stated that the tax service cooperated with the Business Ombudsman Council in working regime from the date of its creation, so this is a new page of such cooperation that begins from the moment of signing the Memorandum.
“We see an unconditional positive in cooperation with Business ombudsman. This is an opportunity for the tax service, as a public authority, to understand the correctness of actions, the feasibility of transformations at the stage of their formation.” – emphasized Serhii Verlanov.
According to Chairman of the STS both parties, both taxpayers and the tax service will benefit from understanding and effectively addressing business issues that are professionally represented by the Business Ombudsman Council.
“With double attention, we are concerned with the handling of complaints that are accompanied by the Business ombudsman and summary reports on them. They are the roadmaps based on the specific cases that we process online. After all, understanding the point problems of companies applying to the Business Ombudsman Council is a way to understand systemic problems in implementing the tax policy and an effective opportunity to find agreed solutions. We have a common goal - to provide favorable conditions for business” – outlined Serhii Verlanov.
In turn, Business ombudsman in Ukraine Marchin Svenchitskyi expressed confidence in the effective cooperation within the Memorandum with the tax authorities at all levels. “Today’s event is a confirmation that together we are interested in increasing trust in public authorities, reducing pressure on entrepreneurs and protecting their legitimate interests” - emphasized Marchin Svenchitskyi.
