Serhii Verlanov: Moratorium on audits of individuals-entrepreneurs is a logical step to support small business

, published 11 November 2019 at 11:48

Decree “On urgent measures to reform and strengthen the state” signed by the President was published on official site of the Head of State. Implementation of provisions of the document will contribute to the economic growth of the country.

According to Decree the Cabinet of Ministers should develop, submit for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and ensure support of the draft laws on creation of favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity till the 31st of December 2019. In particular, the draft law on the introduction of a two-year moratorium on audits of individuals-entrepreneurs regarding their adherence to the RCO application (except for those who carry out highly profitable activities with significant tax evasion risks).

Also the draft law on mitigating the liability of individuals-entrepreneurs for breach of the reporting procedure related to the RCO application to the controlling authorities should be developed until the end of this year.

The State tax service of Ukraine supports these specified initiatives. Because they will allow the microbusiness to adapt to the new rules of work with the registrars of calculated operations, meanwhile tax specialists to focus on risky taxpayers.

“We need to support entrepreneurs who work on a simplified taxation system, creating conditions for their development. Signed Decree not only establishes a moratorium on audits for taxpayers on the simplified taxation system, but also mitigates liability for violations of reporting procedures related to the RCO application. This is exactly what entrepreneurs constantly discuss” – emphasized Serhii Verlanov.
