Serhii Verlanov: the STS accelerates digitization of services in order to increase level of voluntary payment of taxes
Development of online services and digitization should become one of the main spheres of the STS reforming. This was stated by Chairman of the STS Serhii Verlanov during Ukrainian Forum for Quality Business Regulation, organized by edition “Economichna Pravda”.
Already, the State Tax Service is working on improvement of the Taxpayer’s Electronic Cabinet. Also, starting from the 1st of January 2020, for trial period the STS should provide software RCO that will be free of charge to download and maintenance.
According to Serhii Verlanov the course for development of online services will also be taken into account in preparation of the tax reform announced by the Government.
“Within the framework of tax reform both issues of electronic services and E-cabinet will be elaborated more thoroughly. I have repeatedly emphasized that our main motto is that businesses should forget the road to the Tax service; the taxpayers should receive all services online through the E-cabinet. We have already done a lot for this purpose and we continue to make our services even more accessible” – stated Serhii Verlanov.
He also emphasized that one of the goals of updated Tax service is to promote voluntary payment of taxes, and due to electronic services that make it easier to operate businesses, the level of voluntariness will increase.
