Public Council at the STS held its first meeting
Today on the 10th of March 2020, the newly formed Public Council at the State Tax Service of Ukraine held its first meeting. Agenda of the event included election of the chairman of this advisory and consultative body, deputy chairman, secretary and formation of working bodies of the Public Council (committees, working groups).
According to the results of the rating vote, Dmytro Oleksiienko representative of the Association “Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce” became chairman of the Public Council at the STS. Tetiana Potopalska representative of the professional union of the nuclear energy and industry of Ukraine became deputy chairman of the Public Council.
Participants of meeting also discussed the format of work of the Public Council and suggested creation of committees and working groups. In addition, was made a decision to address to the Chairman of the STS with a suggestion to assign function of secretary of the Public Council at the STS to the representative of this body. The next step is to approve Regulations on the Public Council at the STS and its work plan.
Please note that composition of the Public Council at the State Tax Service of Ukraine was formed during the constituent assembly on the 24th of December 2019. Number of 85 members was approved by the resolution of constituent assembly. Representatives of civil society institutions who will provide advisory assistance to the tax service became a part of the council’s composition.
Public Council at the STS has the following tasks:
- developing suggestions on the formation and implementation of the STS tax policy;
- public examination of draft legal acts;
- control over the STS’s consideration of suggestions and comments to regulations that will come from the public.
