Results of plans for implementation of the Public Financial Management Support Program in Ukraine (EU4PFM) and priority measures were discussed during meeting of the Steering Committee of this project, which was held on the 28th of October. The event was attended by experts from the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, the Support Group of Ukraine to the European Commission, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine and the State Tax Service.
Chairman of the STS Oleksiy Lyubchenko, his deputies Natalia Kalenichenko and Mykhail Titarchuk, heads of structural subdivisions took part in the dialogue on behalf of the State Tax Service.
Oleksiy Lyubchenko outlined that despite the crisis caused by pandemic a significant progress has been made in the tax administration sphere and strengthening service’s the institutional capacity with support of the European partners.
“We are confidently moving towards ensuring the implementation of Ukraine’s international obligations under the FATCA and the BEPS Action Plan, as well as full implementation this year RCO program and a single account for payment of taxes.” – emphasized Oleksiy Lyubchenko.
He also noted the progress made in implementation of a large-scale structural reform on the STS’s transition to a single legal entity.
Oleksiy Lyubchenko expressed gratitude to the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine for supporting development and reforms of the STS and assured of readiness for further effective cooperation.
Representatives of the EU delegation, in turn, noted the progress in implementing measures to implement tax reforms, specifically effective steps to transform the STS to a single legal entity, harmonize tax legislation with the EU legislation, transition to modern models of human resource management that operate in the EU countries.
