Financial sanctions totaling 911 million UAH were applied as a result of audits in the turnover of excisable products

Almost 200 thousand licenses for the production, wholesale and retail sale of alcohol, alcohol beverages, tobacco products and fuel were issued, as well as 37 thousand were revoked in the turnover of excisable products in 2020.

In total, there are 94 thousand taxpayers registered at the tax authorities, who received 222 thousand licenses, of which 85% are retailers who sell excisable products to the final consumer.

Since the beginning of year, the number of 8932 actual audits of business entities has been conducted in the sphere of alcohol, alcohol beverages, tobacco products and fuel, of which 5822 (65%) have been effective. According to the audit results, financial sanctions in the amount of 911 million UAH were applied.

The most common in the turnover of excisable products were the following violations:

carrying out activities without licenses – amount of applied penalties is 318 million UAH, including the fuel turnover totaling 215 million UAH;

without excise tax marks or with counterfeit marks – 39 million UAH;

without registration of excise warehouses for fuel and without their equipment with flow meters / uniform meters – 135.9 million UAH.
