Chairman of the STS Oleksiy Lyubchenko and representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine discussed taxation of companies with foreign investment.
“Constructive cooperation between the STS and ACC representatives will contribute to the successful implementation of tax department reforms, reaching a consensus of interests of the state and business. We are always ready for effective communication that will help to create a comfortable business environment for foreign partners and investors of our country, building its economy.” – specified Chairman of the STS.
Parties During the meeting discussed issue of the VAT reimbursement. Particularly, it was noted that the STS promptly reimburses declared funds to the payers. Moreover, the STS returns not only the amount of declared amount but also balances accumulated as of the 1st of January 2020.
Also, effective work of the STS in direction of combating shadow schemes frees up the space for work of “white’ legal business, which expands its activities and, accordingly, increases payment of taxes to the budget.
The ACC representatives were also interested in reforming the Large Taxpayers Office as a part of transition to the single legal entity. According to Chairman of the STS, the Large Taxpayers Office is facing a major reform, namely 5 centers of sectoral competence will be created, which will improve the quality of tax support for big business.
Tax debt repayment, application of registrars of calculated operations, utilization of excise tax marks, etc. were also discussed during the meeting.
“Tax service promptly responds to questions and statements of business community, meets the needs of legal business in eliminating risks of unfair competition, affirming position of the STS as a transparent service” – emphasized Oleksiy Lyubchenko.
