Topical issues addressed by business representatives, as well as plans for further cooperation were discussed during an online meeting by the Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko with representatives of the European Business Association.

During 6 months of the Communication Tax Platform, the STS held 4 large-scale meetings with representatives of Association, during which ways to address systemic issues were promptly resolved.

“STS seeks to create all the conditions for honest business to develop and be protected from unfair competition from the shadow. For this purpose, the analytical component of the Service has been significantly strengthened” – emphasized Oleksiy Lyubchenko.

According to Chairman of the STS there is an improvement in tax discipline, as evidenced by the increase in payment of taxes to the budget. In turn, the STS not only timely reimburses funds declared for return but also returns not reimbursed amounts as of the beginning of this year.

Oleksiy Lyubchenko stated that at present the STS is working to modernize the tax compliance system, which will create conditions to minimize risks of non-payment of taxes, help taxpayers to avoid the most common mistakes in the future, simplify reporting and payment of taxes.

“Our goal is to bring relationship with taxpayers to a new level based on trust and partnership. At the same time, we expect taxpayers doing business transparently and pay taxes fairly” – specified Oleksiy Lyubchenko.

Parties during the meeting discussed new electronic services for taxpayers, issues of value added tax reimbursement, operation of risk monitoring system for registration of tax invoices, declaration and calculation of income tax for foreign permanent establishments for the current year and reformation of the Large Taxpayers Office.
