Oleksiy Lyubchenko: Activity of the State Tax Service is ensured in the format of a single legal entity
From the 1st of January 2021 territorial bodies of the STS, formed as its separate subdivisions, will begin to perform powers and functions of the STS’s territorial bodies which are being liquidated as legal entities. Relevant Order was signed today, on the 24th of December 2020 by Chairman of the STS Oleksiy Lyubchenko.
“The final step has been taken to ensure functioning of STS in the format of a single legal entity. One of the priority tasks identified for the STS by a number of Government decisions and a structural beacon of the Memorandum on Economic and Financial Policy with the IMF has been fulfilled. From the 1st of January 1 of 2021, the STS will start functioning as a single legal entity” – stated Chairman of the STS Oleksiy Lyubchenko.
Now, the State Tax Service will function as a single legal entity, consisting of the central apparatus and territorial bodies formed as its separate units (without the status of legal entities).
Such changes will strengthen institutional capacity of the STS, avoid duplication of functions and procedures in the STS, ensure openness and transparency of the Service, minimize corruption and improve provision of services to the taxpayers.
Reminder! Pursuant to the Decree of the President of Ukraine as of 08.11.2019 № 837 “On urgent measures to reform and strengthen the state” the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 30.09.2020 adopted a Resolution № 893 “Some issues of territorial bodies of the State Tax Service”, according to which a decision was made on the liquidation of legal bodies of the STS’s territorial bodies as legal entities and task of STS on the creation of its territorial bodies as separate subdivisions of the Service.
