Sale of cars without their actual supply that costed the budget almost 195 million UAH was exposed

Tax specialists exposed formation of a fictitious tax credit by registration of pseudo-sale of imported cars.

Anti-money laundering department of Main Directorate of the STS in Chernihiv region identified a number of business entities – importers of cars that sold them to legal entities in order to form “artificial” tax credit, which were actually sold to individuals.

As a result of processing, a fictitious tax credit in the amount of 93.7 million UAH and an understatement of the VAT liabilities in the amount of 100.9 million UAH were established.

Compiled materials were added to criminal proceeding under Part 5 Article 27, Part 3 Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigation is ongoing.
