Use “Hotline of the STS” to inform about violations upon the sale of excisable products

, published 21 May 2021 at 13:11

One of the effective measures aimed at elimination of the counterfeit (smuggled) alcohol and tobacco products on the retail market is to bring business entities (including citizens) that sell excisable products in violation of applicable law to administrative and criminal liability with further seizure of such products.

STS regularly analyzes available databases, information covered in the media, as well as carefully checks facts set out in the citizens’ letters, public organizations, local governments, as well as appeals of people’s deputies and immediately takes measures to work it out by organizing and conducting control and verification works.

Particular attention is paid to the consideration of citizens’ appeals as the main consumers of excisable products.

Taking into account the above mentioned and peculiarities of the shadow market of excisable products, the State Tax Service of Ukraine invites citizens who have information about business entities (addresses of their business facilities) that sell excisable products in violation of applicable law (sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products : without the use of registrar of settlement operations, with absence of excise tax stamps, at the below market prices and with the counterfeit signs, etc.) notify the State Tax Service of Ukraine (Lvivska Square, 8, Kyiv, 04053 or by phone “Hotline of the STS” 0800 501 007 and (044) 272 62 55).

For comprehensive and high-quality consideration of citizens’ appeals, please indicate the following: address of the business entity, its name (title), type of purchased excisable products (with the counterfeit signs and / or absence of excise tax stamps) with supporting documents (if available) or any other information that may be used for further audit.
