Theft and legalization of forest resources totaling more than 23 million UAH was exposed

Tax specialists jointly with the Investigative Department of Main Directorate of the National Police in Volyn region exposed theft of forest resources.

Anti-money laundering department of Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region identified enterprise that carried out operations for the sale of products made from wood raw materials through the implementation of uncontrolled deforestation. This led to losses to the State Forest Fund of Ukraine totaling more than 23 million UAH.

At present, these facts are being worked out by the Investigative Department of Main Directorate of the National Police in Volyn region within a criminal proceeding entered to the Unified register of pre-trial investigations on the grounds of offenses under Part 3 Article 358, Part 2 Article 366 and Part 4 Article 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
