Judges and tax officials discussed topical law enforcement issues in tax disputes. Meeting of representatives of the State Tax Service of Ukraine and the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal with participation of the Supreme Court of Ukraine took place in Lviv as part of a “round table”.
Meeting was attended by Heads of the STS and Main Directorates of the STS of Western Region, Chairman and Judges of the Administrative Cassation Court, the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal, Lviv District Administrative Court and scientists from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
“Event, which is attended by representatives of the executive and judicial branches of government – the Tax service and Administrative courts, is held for the first time. On some issues we agreed, in others we remained in our positions. And this is understandable, because the question is not simple” – specified Deputy Chairman of the STS Mikhail Titarchuk.
During the event there was an interesting discussion on the practice of litigation on registration of tax invoices and cancellation of decisions to classify a taxpayer as risky, deadlines for appeal to the court after the administrative appeal procedure and renewal of appeals, as well as cassation appeals after return of appeals / cassation complaints due to the non-payment of court fees in the absence of budget allocations.
“Such discussion is necessary for both us and the taxpayers. I believe that in the near future we will hold such events in other regions of the country” – stated Mikhail Titarchuk.
