United approach to the organization and implementation of the adaptation system of newly appointed employees of the STS was discussed during a recent seminar held at the STS.

Participants of the event were acting Chairman of the STS Yevhen Oleinikov, First Deputy Chairman of the STS Natalia Ruban, Deputy Chairman of the STS for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitization Natalia Kalenichenko, representatives of the STS and its territorial bodies, experts of the Public Financial Management Support Programme of Ukraine (EU4PFM) Olena Pylypenko and Olesya Dombrovska.

Effectiveness of the STS’s activity directly depends on a professional and motivated team, able to successfully perform their duties, implement new ideas and technologies, calculate possible risks and work on their bias.

That is why, according to acting Chairman of the STS Yevhen Oleinikov, the Tax Service pays great attention to the HR policy and work with employees, especially when it comes to newly appointed ones. Specific Adaptation Program of newly appointed employees of the STS has been developed and implemented.

Adaptation Program includes modern and convenient manual “Zruchnobuk”, which answers majority of questions of the newly appointed employee and serves as a useful navigator.

“Successful employee’s adaptation to the new place of work is a guarantee of his / her further effective work and a possibility of full realization of potential. Each profession contains certain features; their knowledge and application in practice with high self-realization allow achieving high performance. That is why the mentor’s task, who is appointed to each newly hired employee, is to teach, reveal the details and so the employee’s interest to the Tax Service becomes not just a place of work, but a vocation.” – emphasized Yevhen Oleinikov.

The EU4PFM expert Olena Pylypenko noted that the STS is one of the first central executive bodies in the country to develop and implement in practice the Adaptation Program for newly appointed employees.

Importance of the Adaptation Program was also mentioned directly by the employees who have just started their work in the STS. To their opinion, due to the adaptation process and mentors’ professional assistance from the first working day, a new employee feels protected and supported, which helps him / her to quickly demonstrate their abilities, skills and work for results.

During the seminar, it was particularly emphasized the need for constant effectiveness monitoring of adaptation of the newly hired employees, conducting a comprehensive analysis and improvement of the Adaptation Program.
