State Tax Service, in order to stop illegal activities in the fuel and lubricants trade and ensure transparency of economic activity on the fuel market and prevent tax evasion on a permanent basis, monitors business entities involved in the retail trade of fuel.
Territorial divisions of actual audits conducted 1343 actual audits in order to prevent and detect taxpayers’ legislative violations in the fuel turnover in 2021.
Fines (financial sanctions) totaling 413.7 million UAH were applied to economic entities as a result of reviewing the audit materials.
In addition, according to results of control and audit measures, employees of territorial divisions of the actual audits initiated seizure of 927.4 thousand liters of fuel from illegal turnover for a total amount of 25.1 million UAH, namely:
- diesel fuel – 483.8 thousand liters for 12.7 million UAH;
- gasoline A-92 – 73.4 thousand liters for 2 million UAH;
- gasoline A-95 – 308.9 thousand liters for 9.4 million UAH;
- liquefied gas – 61.3 thousand liters for 1.0 million UAH.
Also, officials of the STS initiated the closure of 70 illegal gas stations and seizure of 192 units of equipment, which was used for illegal sale of fuel for a total amount of 16.2 million UAH.
For effective control over economic entities involved in the fuel retail and ensuring completeness of excise tax revenues to local budgets, it is advised to inform the State Tax Service of Ukraine about such facts regarding established cases of the non-compliance with such requirements by such economic entities of Ukraine to the e-mail address: post@tax.gov.ua.
