State Tax Service of Ukraine has strengthened cooperation with public organizations, territorial communities, law enforcement agencies and their local units in direction of combating illicit turnover and retail sale of fuel.
STS organized work regarding processing of information regarding 1824 objects that carry out dubious activities according to lists formed by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Oil and Gas Association of Ukraine.
“Processing results showed that about 40% of audited objects are legal business entities that pay taxes and levies. Violations were found in 11% of audited objects, which gave grounds for revocation of licenses” – informed acting Chairman of the STS Mikhail Titarchuk.
He also added that materials regarding 64% of audited objects were sent to the SFS and National Police for verification within their competence.
Territorial bodies of the STS also conducted inventory of license cases on the compliance of packages of documents submitted for licenses for the retail sale of fuel with requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, cognac and fruit, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, liquids used in electronic cigarettes and fuel” as of 19.12.1995 № 481.
A total of 210 licenses were revoked; materials regarding 1159 objects were sent for verification to the SFS and National Police.
117 gas stations were found to be missing at location according to the audit results, 127 gas stations were found non-functioning and 36 were dismantled. Fuel worth 53.9 million UAH and equipment worth 8.5 million UAH were seized from illicit turnover.
