Mikhail Titarchuk: STS should make every effort to effectively perform certain tasks

Acting Chairman of the STS Mikhail Titarchuk outlined main tasks set for the State Tax Service by the state leadership and priorities for the near future during a meeting with heads of the STS’s structural units and its territorial bodies.

Priority is to ensure receipt of taxes, levies, payments to budgets of all levels, taking into account the increase in indicative targets of revenues for December of current year and next year (by 17.3% compared to the current year).

“State today has many challenges – both external and internal. And the STS plays a key role in financial security of the state, as it administers 59 percent of budget revenues. STS should make every effort to effectively perform certain tasks” – stated Mikhail Titarchuk.

In this context, it is important to ensure the proportionality of growth of payments to the budget according to economic indicators, continuous monitoring of economic entities for completeness of declaration and payment of income tax, constant, quality and complete monitoring of economic entities to prevent formation of tax credit.

STS will also focus on high-quality control and verification work and conducting high-level pre-audit analysis of economic entities, identifying risky and fictitious operations, gathering evidence regarding violations of tax legislation, preventing tax debt growth and increasing number of debtors, establishing appropriate level of services provided by the STS, subject to quarantine restrictions, continuing the course of digitalization of services.

Mikhail Titarchuk also emphasized the need for strict observance of legislative norms and provisions, zero tolerance for corruption, as well as ensuring proper organization of work, taking into account all legislative changes that will come into force on 01.01.2022.
