Specialists of the central apparatus and territorial bodies of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, working in spheres of electronic services, tax audit and risk management, took part in a two-day workshop “International practice of using data of registrars of settlement operations for tax control purposes”.

International Expert on Audit and Application of Electronic Cash Registers of the EU4PFM Project Peter Michalik presented Slovakian experience in regulating the usage of cash registers, introduction of electronic cash registers and use of data from registrars of settlement operations for tax control purposes.

“Fiscalization is not new for Slovakia, as this process began in 1994 and has undergone a separate evolution – from EKA to the current modern e-kasa system. I will be happy to share our experience in the process of fiscalization and implementation of the e-kasa system. I hope this information will be useful for the State Tax Service of Ukraine” – emphasized Peter Michalik.

International IT expert of the EU4PFM Project Viktor Wartik also acquainted tax authorities with Slovakian experience in the IT architecture of software registrars of settlement operations.

These included procedures for fiscalizing transactions, introducing online cash registers, decoding titles of products on a check and describing procedure, approach to risk management and cooperation between government agencies.

In addition, the STS’s specialists had opportunity to ask international experts questions that arose during the training, particularly regarding the use of software registrars of settlement operations and received comprehensive answers.
