Tax officials exposed network of places where the counterfeit tobacco products sale was carried out

Employees of the State Tax Service of Ukraine exposed network of places in Cherkasy region, where the counterfeit tobacco products sale of unknown origin without excise stamps was carried out.

Sale was carried out through the network of kiosks, vast majority of which had previously received licenses for retail sale of tobacco products to disguise illegal activities.

Regional divisions of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine were involved in joint activities to stop violations, on behalf of the State Tax Service and its Main Directorate in Cherkasy region.

Activity of the specified network was terminated as a result of taken measures.

Actual audit acts and administrative protocols were compiled regarding violators; the counterfeit products were seized from illegal turnover.  

Violators will be held liable under the law, further fate of tobacco products will be determined by the court.
