Issuance and sale of Ukrainian audio books are exempted from the VAT

Law that exempts supply, preparation, production and distribution of audio books voiced in Ukrainian language from the value added tax comes into force on June 17, 2022.

Introduction of tax exemption for Ukrainian-language audio books will support business, promote and disseminate books in Ukrainian language. State Tax Service welcomes such changes.

Reminder! Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine № 2273-IX as of 22.05.2022 "On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on exemption from the value added tax for supply of Ukrainian-language audio books".
