"VAT and war: how these two phenomena coexist now?" was a topic of the fifth webinar of the State Tax Service and the Business Ombudsman Council.

Representatives of the State Tax Service Tetiana Hrechana, Maryna Bariyakhtar and Serhiy Tymoshenko spoke about the VAT taxation peculiarities during the wartime.

Taxpayer's right to a tax credit for destroyed or lost goods, as well as goods transferred to meet defense needs were also considered.

Peculiarities of registration of tax invoices and adjustment calculations for a period of the martial law were explained. In particular, which primary documents are sufficient to contain amounts of tax credit / tax liability of the reporting (tax) period and during which period it is necessary to register the tax invoice / adjustment calculation.

Representatives of the State Tax Service also discussed to what to pay attention to the taxpayer reimbursing VAT during the martial law.
