Acting Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Tetiana Kirienko and Deputy Head and Second Permanent Secretary of Her Majesty’s Tax and Customs Service of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Angela McDonald discussed implementation of joint projects in the tax sphere.
“We are grateful to the Government and citizens of the United Kingdom for supporting Ukraine in this difficult time. We understand that today there is an urgent need for quick and productive solutions that will help our state win and stimulate the economy. Therefore, the State Tax Service actively continues implementation of tax changes that will contribute to the improvement of tax administration processes” – emphasized Tetiana Kirienko.
According to her, the State Tax Service conducts constant analysis of its activities to identify those segments that need improvement. It is in these matters that the consulting support of international partners helps to find optimal system solutions.
In turn, representatives of Her Majesty’s Tax and Customs Service declared their readiness to cooperate in the tax sphere, which will help the Ukrainian side to implement the best global practices and meet criteria for membership in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Union. Angela Macdonald also noted convenience and accessibility of the portal Diia, which contains tax services for taxpayers.
Agreement was reached during the meeting to hold thematic meetings in agreed areas between specialists of both services.
