Tetiana Kirienko: Successful practices of the Lithuanian colleagues will allow us to choose right and effective strategy for implementing European integration changes

Within the framework of the third day of visit to Lithuania, representatives of the State Tax Service as a part of the government delegation continued their work in the specified directions and also met with representatives of the Office of the Government of Lithuania.

“Experience and support of our colleagues and partners are extremely important and useful for the State Tax Service. Professional recommendations and successful international practices, which we got acquainted with during the visit to the Republic of Lithuania, will allow the State Tax Service to choose right strategy and optimal way of implementing changes in the European integration course. We are sincerely grateful to our Lithuanian colleagues for their openness, sincerity, support and consistently effective cooperation” – stated acting Chairman of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kirienko.

Ukrainian tax officials, during the visit, got acquainted with achievements of their Lithuanian colleagues not only in the tax administration and IT support spheres, but also in the direction of improving taxpayer services. In particular, with the latest developments in the electronic services for taxpayers, capabilities and functionality of tax information (contact) centers and the service quality assessment system.

Based on the results of work of the State tax Service’s delegation, effective initiatives were developed in the European integration course, which is actively supported by the EU4PFM project and implementation of the OECD standards, as well as key directions for further development of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation in the tax sphere were determined.
