Tax authorities of Ukraine and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland continue cooperation on the exchange of successful practices

State Tax Service continues its work on achieving strategic goals of the Service's development – improving administration of taxes, levies, payments and building the State Tax Service as the European-style service with a high level of trust in society.

British colleagues support the State Tax Service in implementing its strategic tasks and Ukraine's European course. In order to consolidate achieved cooperation results and certify commitment to its future development between departments of Ukraine and the United Kingdom – Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Tax Service of Ukraine and the Tax and Customs Service of His Majesty of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was signed for three years on June 13, 2023.

Another online meeting was held today to exchange experience and best practices of representatives of the United Kingdom with Ukrainian tax officials. During event, the Corporate Compliance Model (compliance with tax legislation) was presented in terms of major taxpayers, processes of business risk analysis and formation of taxpayers' trust towards the tax service. After all, as colleagues from the tax service of the United Kingdom pointed out, it is the taxpayers' trust towards the service that is the best incentive for voluntary compliance with tax legislation.

As always, studying practical working aspects of colleagues from the European countries is a way to effective tax administration, which is a key aspect for development of the state and is critically important for the country in the war conditions.
