Child labor: what should be known

Code of Labor Laws allows work from the age of 16. However, there are several exceptions. You can work from the age of 15, if one of parents or person who replaces them has given their consent.

In addition, it is allowed to register the 14-year-old pupils of general schools, vocational, technical and secondary special educational institutions to perform light work that does not harm health and does not interfere with education. But only during free time from studying, for example, during the holidays, with permission of one of parents or person who replaces them.

Minors (from 14 to 18 years old) have the same rights as adults in employment. At the same time, they have a number of significant benefits regarding labor protection, working hours, holidays and some other working conditions.
