Representatives of the Ministry of Finance and State Tax Service took part in international educational and practical seminar on the implementation of global minimum tax (GloBE) the general overview of second component (Pillar Two)

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and State Tax Service of Ukraine at invitation of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) took part in a workshop (educational and practical seminar) on the topic: "Implementation of global minimum tax (GloBE) and overview of two-component solution (Pillar Two)" in Ankara (Republic of Turkey).

The specified workshop is aimed at improving professional competences of participants, expanding knowledge in international taxation sphere, particularly regarding introduction of the two-component solution (Pillar Two) into national legislation in order to solve tax problems arising in connection with digitalization of economy according to international obligations of Ukraine as a participant of the Global forum and establishment of international relations for further exchange of experience.

The OECD's global initiatives in international taxation sphere, Pillar 1 and Pillar 2, provide for improvement of existing mechanisms for combating tax base erosion and withdrawal of income from taxation.

Introduction of Pillar 2 is also defined as a priority direction in the National revenue strategy 2024-2030, approved by Decree the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 1218 as of 27.12.2023.

Representatives of tax authorities from 20 countries of the world received qualified expert assistance on the implementation of global minimum tax (GloBE), overview of the two-component solution (Pillar Two) and information on the state of changes in this direction.

Meeting was useful in general for all its participants and gained experience will contribute to improvement of control in the international taxation sphere in the future.
