Within the framework of implementation of the Work Plan of the Office of Technical Assistance of the US Treasury Department with the State Tax Service for 2021 – 2024, experts of the Office of Technical Assistance held educational classes (trainings) in online mode for heads of structural units of the State Tax Service and its territorial bodies on tax risk management (compliance risks) on October 3 and 4, 2024.
During the opening of educational trainings, acting Head of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kiriienko thanked experts of the Office of Technical Assistance for their advisory support and noted that all knowledges gained by training participants will be useful in work of the Service, as purpose of trainings is to learn global practices for identifying and mitigating tax risks of taxpayers regarding their fulfillment of their tax obligations.
In turn, acting Deputy Head of the State Tax Service Yevheii Sokur emphasized that the State Tax Service implements tax risk management (compliance risks) to ensure optimization of budget revenues by improving compliance by the taxpayers with four main tax obligations – registration , timely submission of declarations, correct reporting and timely payment of taxes.
Tax risks management (compliance risks) is a systematic methodology for identifying compliance risks among the taxpayers and determining ways to effectively reduce them.
During the trainings, areas of promotion of voluntary compliance with tax legislation by the taxpayers, improvement of public trust towards the tax system and adaptation of global tax risk management practices (compliance risks) were discussed in Ukraine.
