Meeting of the State Tax Service’s leadership with representatives of the International Monetary Fund was devoted to discussing recommendations received by the State Tax Service within framework of technical assistance from the Tax and Budget Department of the International Monetary Fund regarding tax administration reform within framework of implementation of the National Revenue Strategy.
Event was attended by acting Head of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kiriienko, Deputy Head of the State Tax Service for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Nataliia Kalienichenko, acting Deputy Head of the State Tax Service Yevhenii Sokur, heads of structural departments of the State Tax Service and experts of the International Monetary Fund led by Senior Economist of the IMF Revenue Management Department Enrico Aav.
Mission results of the IMF Budget Department in October this year to provide support to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the State Tax Service of Ukraine in implementing the National Revenue Strategy until 2030 were discussed.
The main focus was on analyzing progress in implementing tax administration reform within framework of the National Revenue Strategy, related to governance and reform management mechanisms, and IT integration. Discussion also included audit reform, compliance risk management (CRM), and performance measurement practices in these areas.
"We are grateful to the IMF experts for provided recommendations. Due to close cooperation and provided assistance, we have reviewed some implementation aspects of the National Revenue Strategy and optimized work in certain areas. This allows us effectively and timely implement planned measures" – stated acting Head of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kiriienko.
Parties, during event, agreed on further active interaction towards implementation of tax administration reforms within framework of the National Revenue Strategy.
