Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko met with the IMF Resident representative in Ukraine Priscilla Tofano

Taxpayers have a huge demand for clear communication with tax authorities, provision of high-quality consultations, increasing efficiency of digital services, etc. Therefore, all further changes should ensure creation of a transparent and modern tax system. This was stated by Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko during a meeting with the IMF Resident representative in Ukraine Priscilla Tofano.

Parties discussed implementation of the Memorandum on Economic and Financial Policy and effective cooperation in implementing the National Revenue Strategy of Ukraine. This is a component of stability of public finances and condition for the long-term development of Ukraine.

"Increasing trust level towards the Tax Service, modern risk management system, preventing tax evasion, strengthening communication with business and further digitalization of tax services. This is what we are already actively working on. Another important aspect is personnel policy and strengthening interaction between the central apparatus and regional directorates of the State Tax Service. Effective work and fulfillment of all tasks is impossible without this" – stated Ruslan Kravchenko.

The IMF Resident representative in Ukraine Priscilla Tofano congratulated Ruslan Kravchenko on taking the office and noted that appointment of authorized Head of the State Tax Service in the current situation is a significant step.

Active cooperation, including in carrying out structural reforms in the fiscal sphere and consistent step-by-step implementation of provisions of the National Revenue Strategy, remain priorities for each of the parties.
