Ruslan Kravchenko: State Tax Service exceeded revenue plan for January by 9.8 billion UAH

State Tax Service of Ukraine exceeded revenue plan for January by 9.8 billion UAH. This was announced by Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko on his Facebook page.

"Everyone who was rooting for my "failure" as the new Head of the State Tax Service – you can relax. No one failed anything. Revenue indicators for January were met by 114.8%. And this is despite the fact that the VAT refunding is 1.6 times more than the actual refunding in January 2024.

In total, 76.1 billion UAH was transferred to general fund of the state budget from payments controlled by the State Tax Service. This is +9.8 billion UAH to the plan” – he said.

Compared to January 2024, this is +15.1 billion UAH or +24.8%.

Key indicators:

- VAT refunding –15.5 billion UAH. This is 5.7 billion UAH or 1.6 times more than the actual refunding in January 2024.

- Significant overfulfillment of the VAT. Additional 4.0 billion UAH of the VAT was transferred (+11.8%).

- Excise tax overfulfillment on manufactured and imported excisable products amounted to more than 2.0 billion UAH (+28.0% to the plan).

In addition, rate of blocking tax invoices decreased in January. Currently, it is 0.5% in Ukraine. Also, almost 5.5 thousand business entities have been removed from the list of risky ones.

"Someone said that implementing the plan is not the priority task of the State Tax Service. Maybe for someone it is not. But for the country, especially in times of war, it is critically important. Because this is money for implementing state budget programs, our best Armed Forces, medicine, education, salaries and pensions. Therefore, keep all the hate about the priority of tax collection and overfulfillment of the plan to yourself" – noted Ruslan Kravchenko.

Head of the State Tax Service also emphasized that the Service is currently undergoing a staff renewal. In addition, work continues on improving quality of tax administration and destroying “schemes”, justified decrease in rate of blocking tax invoices and granting status of risky enterprises, and the situation with execution of court decisions is changing. 

"Changes will continue, even though someone does not like it. I would advise all critics to find more interesting hobby than to predict my failures" – emphasized Ruslan Kravchenko.
