Lesya Karnaukh: More than a third of all tax revenues in the first half of the year were provided by the processing industry and trade

More than a third of all taxes, levies and payments to the country’s Consolidated budget in the first half of the year were provided by the two industries – processing industry and trade. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.

Top 4 taxpayers by industry in January – June 2025 are as follows: 

- Processing industry – 16.9%

- Whole and retail sales – 16.5%

- Public administration and defense – 11.7%

- Financial and insurance activities – 11.5%

“Processing industry and trade are not only leaders among the tax-paying industries. They also demonstrate dynamic growth compared to 2024” – she added. 

Dynamics by industries looks like this:

- Processing industry: +36.4% (+46.8 billion UAH)

- Trade and repair of transport: +30.6% (+40 billion UAH)

- State administration and defense: +30.3% (+28.2 billion UAH)

- Energy (electricity, gas, etc.): +36.5% (+17.2 billion UAH)

“Despite the challenges caused by russian aggression, economy is adapting and supporting the state. Behind these figures are specific things – support for the military, implementation of social programs and financial basis for the country’s survival. Ukrainian business in conditions of constant aggression demonstrates super-capabilities” – emphasized Lesya Karnaukh.
