More than 74 thousand Ukrainians used their right to tax rebate in the first half of 2025. Last year, their number was 1.5 thousand less. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.
Total amount of the personal income tax declared for refunding is almost 470 million UAH. It increased by 25% compared to the first half of the last year.
The most often, Ukrainians submitted declarations to receive tax rebate for the following expenses:
- tuition fees
- insurance and pension contributions
- mortgage interest payments
TOP regions by the number of tax rebate declarations:
- Lviv region – almost 10 thousand,
- Kyiv – 6 thousand,
- Kyiv region – 5.2 thousand,
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 4.4 thousand,
- Ternopil region – 4.3 thousand.
“Such tool is about trust and partnership between the state and taxpayers. This is example of taxes working for the people” – added Lesya Karnaukh.
Reminder!
To receive tax rebate, the taxpayer submits of property status and income declaration to the controlling authority in which such taxpayer is registered.
Supporting documents are attached to the declaration:
- copies of receipts, checks, payment orders,
- copies of service contracts,
- documents on the kinship degree,
- passport, etc.
Tax declaration is submitted at the taxpayer’s choice in one of the following ways:
a) personally by the taxpayer or by authorized person to the State Tax Service’s authority at the registration place;
b) sent by mail with a delivery notification and description of the attachment;
c) via the payer’s Electronic cabinet.
