Diia City: number of residents and paid taxes almost doubled

2 318 active Diia City residents paid 19.5 billion UAH to the consolidated budget for 8 months of this year. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.  

"This is 81% (8.7 billion UAH) higher than revenue of the same period last year. 1 339 resident companies provided revenues of 10.8 billion UAH in January – August 2024" – she noted. 

In the revenue structure this year:

- personal income tax and levy – 9.9 billion UAH (51%);

- value added tax – 6.4 billion UAH (33%);

- corporate income tax – 3.2 billion UAH (16%).

Register already has more than 2.8 thousand companies as of today, of which 2.4 thousand are active residents.

"Special legal regime that is in force is a huge opportunity for the IT companies to invest, create working places and produce modern and high-quality product. Taxes paid by the Diia City residents are a contribution to a stronger Ukraine" – added Lesya Karnaukh.

Diia City resident can be legal entity that meets requirements and criteria specified by the Law of Ukraine "On stimulating development of the digital economy in Ukraine" and carries out activities in the IT industry and digital economy, in particular:

- computer programming, consulting on informatization questions, computer equipment management activities;

- publishing of computer games, as well as other software;

- provision of software products, including computer games, in the "online" mode and provision of web services for delivery of software applications;

- educational activities in the information technology sphere;

- data processing and related activities;

- ensuring cybersecurity of information and communication systems, software products and information processed in them, etc.
