359 million UAH of the tourist tax was received by the community budgets in 2025

The last year, the tourist tax revenues increased by more than a third. According to the results of January – December 2025, the local budgets received 359 million UAH of the tourist tax.

This is 86 million UAH more (31.5%) than in 2024.

Leaders in tax payments:

- Kyiv city – 70.6 million UAH,

- Lviv region – 63.1 million UAH,

- Ivano-Frankivsk region – 46.2 million UAH,

- Trans-carpathian region – 31.9 million UAH.

The tourist tax paid by legal entities amounted to almost 200 million UAH in 2025 (+34.7% compared to 2024). Individuals paid 159 million UAH (+27.6%).

The tourist tax is important source of funding for the local budgets, as its funds are directed to development of the tourist infrastructure, improvement of territories and improvement of the quality of services in communities.

Reminder.

The tourist tax payers are citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons who are temporarily accommodated in residence places (overnight stay) and tax agents – business entities that provide temporary accommodation services. They are the ones who calculate, withhold and transfer the tax to the budget.
