Tourist tax is important funding source for local budgets. Due to these funds, communities have opportunity to develop infrastructure, improve tourist locations, support hospitality sector and create comfortable conditions for both guests and residents.
Tourist tax payers are citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons who are temporarily accommodated in the residence places (hotels, estates, etc.). At the same time, tax agents are business entities that provide temporary accommodation services – they are the ones who accrue and transfer tax to the budget.
Growth of the tourist tax revenues is about the responsibility of business and citizens who contribute to recovery and development of Ukraine.
