Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region informs that according to the results of operation “Harvest” conducted over May-October 2019, the number of 546 agricultural business were heard at the commissions created under the local self-government authorities.
As a result, the level of wages was increased by 377 business entities and the budget received additional 673 thousand UAH of the personal income tax and military levy.
Within the framework of operation, authorities of the Tax service in Odessa region took measures aimed at preventing the use of tax evasion schemes by agricultural business entities, checking the completeness of the calculation and payment of taxes by business entities and citizens who own land, the area of which exceeds 2 hectares which they cultivate on their own for income.
Thus, in particular, 30307 property and income tax declarations were submitted by citizens who individually cultivate land shares for income – is 2436 more than in 2017. Declared income amounts almost 176 million UAH. Budget received 32.3 million UAH of the personal income tax and 2.6 million UAH of military levy.
Also, Tax service in Odessa region carried out audits on compliance with the legislation by employers (farms and individuals-entrepreneurs) regarding the use of the work of hired employees.
During May-October 2019, the tax specialists of the region revealed during the audit 7 business entities that used the work of 165 hired employees without proper registration. Audit materials were submitted to the Main Directorate of the State Labor in Odessa region.
Tax service in Odessa region will continue to undertake a set of measures aimed at the un-shadowing of the labor market and the provision of formal registration of employees by employers.

This service gives the opportunity to send information about the payment of wages in the “envelopes” to the tax authorities or the use of hired labor without concluding an employment contract.
