Tax monitoring Department of the Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region informed that according to the results of 2019, the taxpayers transferred 312 million UAH of the military levy to the state budget.
In 2019, amount of transferred military levy exceeded figures of 2018 by 16.6%.
“That is, everyone who works legally or has declared their income financially supports national defense by paying the military levy. Due to officially employed citizens, the state budget consistently receives funds to support the national army. The law obliges employers to calculate and pay the so-called salary taxes, it is worth thanking the representatives of Volyn business for their responsible civic position” – stated acting head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Oleh Hyrykovych.
Tax official emphasized that only the mutual responsibility of citizens and employers allows the state to receive funding for defense and socio-economic programs.
For reference: in 2019, the biggest amount of the military levy was paid in Lutsk - 134.2 million UAH; Lutsk district - 24.8 million UAH; Kovel - more than 17.7 million UAH; in Volodymyr-Volynskyi - 17 million UAH and in Novovolynsk – more than 14.5 million UAH.
