Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region reported that taxpayers transferred 56.7 million UAH of the environmental tax to budgets of all levels in 2019. Budgets of local communities received 22.4 million UAH out of the total amount; another 34.3 million UAH was directed to the state budget.
As of today there are more than three thousand legal entities and individuals - environmental taxpayers that are registered in the territorial bodies of the STS, namely legal entities and individuals - environmental taxpayers who emit pollutants into the air by stationary sources of pollution, pollutants directly into water, dispose of wastes in specially designated areas or sites.
Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region stated that the environmental tax must be paid by the taxpayers whose activities related to the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere, stationary sources of environmental pollution, discharge of pollutants into water and contamination of water resources of Ukraine, placement of harmful substances and wastes in specially designated places or sites, generation and / or storage of radioactive wastes, temporary storage of radioactive wastes in specially designated areas.
