Holidaymakers and tourists left 8.4 million UAH of the tourist tax in 2019 in Kherson region. This is 4.7 million UAH more than last year. Such information was reported by the specialists of Tax and levy management department of the Main Directorate of the STS in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city.
Local community of Shchastlivka town council is the leader which collected 2.4 million UAH of the tourist tax or almost by 1 million 995.2 thousand UAH more than in 2018. Resort community of Novofedorivka town council collected 1.6 million UAH of the tourist tax last year – this is by 709 thousand UAH more. Deduction of the tax agents in the territory of the resort area of Horlivsky town council is 449 thousand UAH or 394 thousand UAH more than last year; Strilkivska town council - 314 thousand UAH – this is by 164 thousand UAH more than last year. Budget of Skadovsk town council received 268 thousand UAH – this is 68 thousand UAH more than last year.
Due to the joint coordination of efforts of the Tax service of Kherson region and representatives of local self-government authorities of resort districts it was possible to achieve economic result from revenues of the tourist tax to the budgets of communities in order to preserve the historical, architectural, climatic and cultural resources of Kherson region and actively develop its tourism potential.
